First Annual Stamp Exhibition 1934. This was the first, but not the last! The Buffalo Stamp Club partnered with the Buffalo Evening News for this Exhibition. School and stamp club boys and girls were participating. The Grosvenor Library (built in 1871), then located at Franklin and Edward Streets, was the location of the Exhibition. This Library was eventually demolished and after a few moves and changes, it was relocated at Lafayette Square. Within the current Buffalo and Erie County Public Library is the Grosvenor Collection which houses rare books, geneology, local history and music.

American Philatelist October 1940, Section I, 55th APS Convention Exhibition, Buffalo Convention Report, Illustrated, Pages 11-20, 56. Awards at this convention included some Buffalo exhibits by Joseph H. Lehman Sr., Rollin E. Flower, Adolph Steeg, Fred L. Koepf, and Harry C. Flierl. Page 56 is interesting, as it lists the Buffalo Historical Society as a new Chapter 189, with a President Louis Babcock and Robert Bingham, Director. The location is Delaware Park, Buffalo, N.Y.

American Philatelist February 1957, Page 181, Exerpt, Necrology, Adolph Steeg. Adolph Steeg was Treasurer of the APS at the time of his death, and had held many other posts during his many years as an APS member. Interestingly, in this obituary, it is mentioned he was a member of the Buffalo Philatelic Society, which later reorganized in 1925 to become the Buffalo Stamp Club. The Buffalo Philatelic Society was originally organized as APS Chapter 37.

Hamilton Buffalo Reunion May 1974. This convention was the 42nd Annual Convention, with a slogan "Be Proud of Buffalo". There are exhibits listed. According to our BSC Historian Casey Kielbasa, there were many Hamilton Buffalo Conventions. This Exhibition was open to Junior Collectors under the age of 21.
